The latest in the line of players to receive OHL Exceptional Player Status he helped Saginaw win a Memorial Cup in his D-1 year. Now in his draft year he currently sits atop the OHL in scoring, a reliable barometer for NHL stardom.
Has separated himself as the top defensive prospect in this draft; Elite skater and plenty of offensive skill. Plays hard, excellent in all three zones. The type of player that has a high ceiling and floor. Could go #1.
Hagens has been the elite player in the 2006 age group for years now. A dynamic center with comprable skill and production while at the NTDP to Jack Hughes (NJ) enters Boston College for his draft year. Not quite the numbers of other recent NCAA draft eligibles, but still an elite center.
A late-birth, like Hagens, is a big-bodied forward with incredible offensive skill and hockey sense. A thirty-goal scorer in his second year in OHL, captained the Canadian Gretzky-Hlinka team who was only out -scored by Hagens and Gavin McKenna (projected 2026 #1).
Tall center with excellent skating and an elite passer. Scoring is developing in his second year. Will be able to anchor one of a team's top two scoring lines.
Made the jump from the NTDP to Michigan midway through the year and has been impressive. He's very skilled and has a high hockey IQ. A massive center that still has a lot of room to grown physically. Will be an imposing two top center.
Highly skilled defenseman that is akin to having another forward on the ice. Incredibly mobile with high IQ and elite puck skills. Offensive upside gives him one of the highest ceilings in the draft for defensemen.
Physically mature, two-way defenseman. Excellent defender and offense has room to grow. You should be able to play him in your top four, whether it's anchoring a second pair or complimenting a high-end offensive partner.
Tall, highly skilled center that has excellent vision, creativity, and scoring ability. Once he fills out his frame he should be difficult to handle with explosive skating and high-end offensive tools.
Power forward with excellent size/skill/skating combination. Intelligent puck mover, a really well-rounded winger. No doubt he'll eventually fall into a team's top two LW slots.
